AI/ML RESEARCHER – GEOSPATIAL SYSTEMS

- DhatuVerse: AI-Powered Mining Intelligence Platform
- Conducting applied AI/ML research for DhatuVerse, a mining intelligence platform developed in collaboration with geologists, mining experts, and industry stakeholders.
- Working with diverse exploration datasets including LiDAR, lithology, geochemistry, geophysics, seismic velocity/MOHO, magnetic, gravity, electromagnetic (EM), radiometric, fault-line, topographical, induced polarization (IP), self-potential (SP), and borehole logging data.
- Processing and integrating geospatial data formats such as KML/KMZ, GDB, Shapefiles, GeoTIFFs, DEMs, point clouds, and drill-hole datasets to build unified exploration workflows.
- Utilizing QGIS and geospatial analytics techniques for geological mapping, spatial analysis, terrain modeling, mineral prospectivity assessment, and subsurface visualization.
- Developing data pipelines for ingestion, preprocessing, validation, and analysis of large-scale geological and geophysical datasets.
- Collaborating directly with geologists to digitize and interpret bedrock mapping, pit trench records, borehole logs, geochemical surveys, and geological reports for AI-driven exploration insights.
- Contributing to the development of an integrated exploration intelligence platform capable of combining surface, subsurface, and remote sensing data for mineral targeting and resource assessment.
- Supported the global positioning and presentation of DhatuVerse as a next-generation digital solution for the mining and mineral exploration industry.
MACHINE LEARNING & SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
SPACE POINT LTD (REMOTE, TORONTO)
- Researching and developing machine learning models for exoplanet detection and characterization in collaboration with international teams.
- Deployed ML models behind production-grade backend services, translating research outputs into reliable user-facing functionality.
- Built and maintained RESTful APIs to serve model outputs; implemented input validation, structured logging, and versioned endpoints for maintainability.
- Created automated data preprocessing workflows and integrated structured datasets with cloud storage, supporting repeatable inference and evaluation.
- Worked end-to-end across frontend/backend in a distributed team, using Git workflows and release discipline to ship incrementally.
MISSION ANALYST – VENUS MEON MISSION
SPACE GENERATION ADVISORY COUNCIL (SGAC)
- Conducted mission analysis and Venus trajectory planning using GMAT and orbital mechanics models.
- Performed delta-v calculations and feasibility studies for conceptual interplanetary mission design.
- Supported payload and propulsion subsystem coordination across international multidisciplinary team.
- Applied scientific computing and data analysis techniques for mission optimization and trade studies.
SYSTEM ENGINEER & GNC ENGINEER
AREX, POLARIS TITAN MISSION (COSTA RICA)
- Led the development, implementation, and optimization of mission-critical systems for the Polaris Project, specifically the Titan mission, ensuring seamless integration in challenging space environments.
- Wrote payload integration software connecting onboard subsystems to mission control interfaces, giving the team real-time telemetry visualization during operations.
- Acted as systems integration lead across mission subsystems, translating GNC, payload, and comms requirements into testable interfaces and making sure isolated work mapped back to full-system performance.
- Developed a dynamic model of the rover, designed a controller capable of performing the mission, and created an interface between the On-Board Computer (OBC) and the various elements of the mission.
- Simulation and analysis tooling for navigation and control validation, used across subsystem integration and operational test readiness.
- Kept the full-system view intact through all mission phases, catching misalignments between subsystem-level assumptions and mission-level outcomes.
- Actively participated in the execution of the mission's action plan held in Costa Rica, helping conclude the Airborne Program of Project Polaris.
MISSION LEAD & SOFTWARE ENGINEER
SPACEONOVA — LUNAR ROVER MISSION
- Designed the complete robotic mission architecture to Mare Nectaris on the Moon from a system and software engineering perspective, establishing mission constraints, objectives, and operational goals.
- Developed SLAM-based autonomous navigation, localization, and path planning algorithms for rover operations in GPS-denied lunar terrains using ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Collaborated with various subsystem engineering teams to design unified interfaces and ensure interoperability.
- Processed and analyzed terrain maps and Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) to build path planning and obstacle avoidance workflows.
- Mentored under Dr. Shreya Santra (Tohoku University) on autonomy validation and flight integration protocols.
AI RESEARCHER
SPARTIFICIAL — AUTONOMOUS AEROSPACE SYSTEMS
- Conducted research on AI-assisted decision logic for aerospace workflows to improve reliability; focused on improving reliability under operational constraints.
- Built Python-based data processing utilities for structured sensor/telemetry-like streams; supported evaluation and iterative experimentation.
- Collaborated with an interdisciplinary team to translate concepts into simulation-friendly components and measurable tests.
DATA SCIENCE INTERN
SANSACH TECHNOLOGIES
- Automated real-time data collection using ML pipelines for predictive business insights and analytics.
- Developed custom web scrapers in Python to optimize raw data inflow and reduce data redundancy.
